Lifetime fortune analysis through Korean Saju Four Pillars
Manseokryeok (萬世曆) originally refers to 'a calendar and calendrical system spanning ten thousand years,' traditionally denoting a precise ephemeris containing astronomical, seasonal, and daily cyclical rules. In modern usage, it widely refers to Saju Myeongri (Four Pillars of Destiny) systems and programs that calculate the Four Pillars from birth date, time, and gender using this calendrical data to comprehensively analyze lifetime fortune.
Manseokryeok calculates the Four Pillars (Year, Month, Day, Hour pillars) from the birth date, then places Ten Stars and Twelve Stages around the Day Stem to identify the individual's basic nature and life trajectory. Daewun (10-year cycles) and Seewun (annual fortune) are added to interpret the timing of life's changes.
The Four Pillars (四柱八字) convert the birth date into four pillars (Year, Month, Day, Hour) expressed as eight characters (4 Heavenly Stems + 4 Earthly Branches). The Day Stem represents the self, and Ten Stars are determined by its Five Elements relationship with other stems and branches.
